Ductless Mini Split Installation and Repair in Las Vegas, NV

A ductless mini split puts cooling and heating exactly where you need it without extending ductwork. In Las Vegas that usually means a garage you actually want to use, a converted room, a casita, or the one bedroom that has never kept up with the rest of the house.

Rocket Air Conditioning installs, repairs and services ductless mini split systems throughout the valley, from single zone units to multi zone setups.

When a mini split is the right answer

One room that never gets comfortable

If a bedroom or office runs hot no matter what the thermostat says, a dedicated mini split solves it without oversizing the central system.

A garage or workshop you want to use in summer

Garages are usually uninsulated and unducted. A mini split is the practical way to make that space usable from June through September.

An addition, casita or converted space

Extending existing ductwork to a new space often starves the rest of the house. A separate system avoids that entirely.

No ductwork at all

Older homes and some condos have no practical duct path. Mini splits deliver conditioned air without one.

Different people want different temperatures

Zone control is built in. Each indoor head has its own setpoint.

What a mini split installation involves

  • Assessing the space, insulation, sun exposure and heat load before sizing
  • Choosing head placement for airflow and for how the room is actually used
  • Selecting single zone or multi zone based on the spaces being served
  • Mounting the outdoor condenser with proper clearance and service access
  • Running and sealing the line set, drain and control wiring cleanly
  • Proper evacuation and charging of the refrigerant circuit
  • Electrical connection and disconnect per code
  • Testing heating and cooling operation and setting up the controls

Mini split repair and service

Mini splits are reliable, but they are not maintenance free. The most common issues we see are blocked or dirty indoor filters and blower wheels, plugged condensate drains at the head, communication faults between indoor and outdoor units, and refrigerant loss at a flare connection.

Indoor heads collect dust and grime, especially in a garage or a home with pets, and a dirty blower wheel quietly kills performance. Cleaning it is normal service work.

If a mini split is not cooling, we diagnose it the same way as any refrigerant system: measure first, then repair the actual cause.

Problems we solve most often

Rooms your central system cannot reach

A dedicated zone fixes the problem room without forcing you to oversize or rebalance the whole house.

Garages, casitas and additions

Spaces with no ductwork get real heating and cooling without the cost and disruption of new duct runs.

Weak or failing mini split performance

Dirty blower wheels, clogged drains, communication faults and refrigerant leaks. We service what we install and what we did not.

Mini splits in desert conditions

Outdoor mini split condensers face the same dust and sustained heat load as any other equipment here, so placement and coil cleaning matter. A unit tucked into a hot enclosed side yard with no airflow will struggle in August no matter how good the equipment is.

We install and service mini splits across Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin and North Las Vegas.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to what homeowners ask us most about this service.

It can, but sizing and insulation matter a great deal. An uninsulated garage with a west facing door is a much larger load than its square footage suggests, and we account for that when sizing rather than guessing.
