My AC froze into a block of ice, what should I do?

Turn the cooling off and set the fan to on so the coil can thaw, which can take a few hours. Freezing is usually caused by low airflow or low refrigerant, and both need to be diagnosed before the system will run reliably.

Can you fix it the same night, or will I need a second visit?

That depends on the failure and on parts. Common electrical and airflow problems can often be handled on the visit. Major component replacements may need a return trip once the part is available, and we will tell you which situation you are in once it is diagnosed.

No cooling at all during a heat advisory

If the indoor temperature is climbing and will not come back down overnight, treat it as urgent. This is the most common emergency call we take between June and September.

Confirm the outdoor disconnect near the condenser has not been pulled
